Language, Literacy and Numeracy

Belconnen Training recognises the importance of basic skills in English language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) for students being able to actively and effectively participate in our VET programs. Belconnen Training must ensure you have the foundational skills needed to succeed and provide support where required. We do this by asking you to complete a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) quiz. Improving basic skills in reading, writing, and performing calculations will assist you to better communicate with your peers, your teachers and in the workplace. To achieve this, you will undertake a quick LLN quiz which will be provided to you in your class. The purpose of this is to tell us what support mechanisms Belconnen Training may need to provide to you to ensure your success in our VET programs.

Belconnen Training is the trading name of the Registered Training Organisation established in 2017 to support the delivery of Vocational Education and training for students of Belconnen High School, Canberra High School, Hawker College, University of Canberra High School Kaleen, Kingsford Smith School, Melba Copland Secondary School and University of Canberra Senior Secondary College Lake Ginninderra.
