Engaging Parents in Career Conversations (EPICC) Helping Your Teenager with Career Planning

Parents and Carers can have an enormous influence on their child’s career decisions and pathway planning, but it’s not always easy to know where to start!

The ACT Education Directorate in partnership with the Canberra Institute of Technology, will present a workshop for parents and carers at Melba Copland Secondary School. During this workshop, experienced career practitioners will present useful career information, resources and strategies to start career conversations with your young person including:

• Up to date information on career pathways
• Communication strategies
• Leading by example
• Seeking support
